Blogging Generation

Blogging.  It’s a fairly new phenomenon to the world, and one that is quickly defining style, music, food and every other aspect of pop culture for this generation and future generations to come. Here are some of the blogs that I am currently browsing to pass the time… to brighten my day… to shop… to daydream… really just for overall inspiration:

  1. A Beautiful Mess (http://www.abeautifulmess.com/)
    1. These two best friends created a blog all about the “beautiful mess” of life. It doesn’t need to be perfect as long as you live life the way you want to live it. This blog has everything from fashion, to recipes, to home décor, and everything in between. Also check out their shop, Red Velvet (http://shopredvelvet.com/). This is one of the first blogs I ever started following, and I've never stopped.
  2. Cupcakes and Cashmere (www.cupcakesandcashmere.com)
    1. Obsessed. The simplicity of this blog makes it my “morning newspaper” everyday as I sip on my first cup of coffee. Her weekly Five Things posts are not only the reason I have my weekly Friday Five posts but also is what inspired me to discuss the idea of starting a blog with my sister in the first place.
  3. Lauren Conrad (www.laurenconrad.com)
    1. I love everything about Lauren Conrad. I love her style, I love her blog, I love her books, I love her messages, etc etc. The fashion inspiration she pulls from, the recipes she provides, and the fun insight into her life make this blog fun to follow.
  4. Heart of Light {http://heart-of-light.blogspot.com/}
    1. Very similar to Cupcakes and Cashmere (in fact, they are friends in real life). It’s fun to read them refer back to one another and interpret each ones taste and style differently. All in all, an entertaining read.
  5. I Heart Organizing (http://iheartorganizing.blogspot.com/)
    1. My sister and I are OCD. Enough said.
  6. Large Hearted Boy (http://blog.largeheartedboy.com/)
    1. This blog features new music all the time. They provide some songs you can download for free (some not) and music news from all over the world. Any new artist I stumble across catapults me into the world of iTunes Genius or Pandora so I can find new and exciting music similar. It’s fun. Plain and simple.
  7. Apartment Therapy
    1. This blog simply inspires me to think outside the box when it comes to decorating my living space. Not only does it give great organizational advice (always a bonus) it offers new ideas to brighten the place up when I am in need of a change. The littlest things can go a long way…
  8. Max Wagner Blog (http://www.maxwangerblog.com/)
    1. Max Wagner is an awesome photographer and I love looking at the beautiful wedding photo’s he captures

Hope some of these are as enjoyable to you as they are to me :)
