The
longer I live here, the more often I’m discovering that there are so many more
areas of the city I have no idea exists. You saw Max and my Michigan Street
adventure here, and even though we know more about it than we did a couple of
weeks ago, it’s still a fairly untapped area on the Grand Rapids map for us.

City Antiques.
I’m
slowly but surely working my way through all of the thrifting location s in
Grand Rapids, and this particular store did not disappoint, it’s located not
far from my doctor’s office (again, north of the city), so I decided to check
it off my list last week. This place is AWESOME. Has just as many treasures as
Century Avenue (or Antique Row as Design Sponge called it), but the
store is more organized and very well laid out, which the experience more
enjoyable and less cluttered. Well, let’s be honest, all antiquing is
“cluttered” but there is a fine line between that and junky. City Antiques is
definitely the former.
I
can’t wait to go back and take my time exploring their two floors of treasures!
When I went a couple of weeks ago I just wanted to stop in to see what all the
fuss was about. Definitely going to go back when I have the time to dedicate to
truly digging up those treasures!
I love how organized it is! Also, the variety of stuff...not just furniture and not just junk. LOVE the jewelry!!
