Around Bellewood – The Kitchen

Our kitchen has been a long time coming!

We honestly didn't do a ton to change the space besides a new door here, a new microwave there, and our own flare for decorating the room. It’s the most utilized area of our house, whether Max is cooking, we’re entertaining guests in the kitchen or who are relaxing in the next room over, or I’m cooking (with a microwave!). We knew we had to make it look and feel the way we wanted since it would be a very important center of our home. We loved the tile, back-splash and wall color the previous owners used so no need to change that, the cabinetry matched the look they had going on, and the appliances are sizable and functional (for now). 

All in all, bringing in our custom built "farm table", adding a little juxtaposition with the industrial metal chairs, installing a microwave that doesn't take up additional counter space and finding homes for all of our beautiful wedding gifts, this kitchen has turned into a perfect combination of Max and me. And, being directly off the game room on one side and the living room on the other, it truly is the focal point of our first home. 

Planning for the Future (still to do):

**  replace lighting over the kitchen table with something industrial and minimal to match the                  metal chairs

**  upgrade the rest of our appliances to stainless steel

**  update track lighting to be more modern

**  fill the wine rack for a dinner party!!
