Around Bellewood – Post Holiday Glow

{the sight of a bare corner, sans Christmas tree made me sad… luckily this canvas came just in time to make that corner the happiest place in the house}

A lot of things have been changing around the old homestead recently. Things that to some are small, but to a new home owner are just as exciting as remodeling a kitchen (ok, maybe not, but exciting nonetheless).

The holidays are over. The decorations are put away. And I found myself thinking that things looked a little… bare. So I went into action. The Grand Rapids Antique Market was at Devos this weekend and that proved for some great inspiration and ideas to work with, not to mention a few things I came home with.

Here are some things that we've updated since the holidays…

{already seen in a Friday Five, but still an awesome update to say the least – OUR DARTBOARD and cricket case}

{mantle update – thanks Court for the inspo!}

{living room corner - Max made me use that picture... at least for a while}

{new guest room décor over the bed – courtesy of thrifting}

{filled picture frames – FINALLY!}

{Bar cart additions – really just more alcohol but it’s so fun that we’re growing our collection of vintage bottles to one day hold brown liquors, which is apparently what you have to do to be sophisticated (I watch too much Gossip Girl…)}

{then of course… our Rock!)

Gallery wall is not too far behind! Only a few pieces left J

Also, I sent Max and email this week that was titled “Bedroom Renovations – Coming January 2014” (if that didn’t give him the hint I don’t know what will). This means that there is some serious work I want to get underway as soon as possible! Hopefully all of my ideas are as simple as I think…
