Grand Rapids Antique Market

{coffee in hand... tote on my shoulder... ready to do this!}

This past Saturday the Devos Center hosted the 8th annual Grand Rapids Antique MarketMichigan’s largest indoor antique show. There were over 150 vendors in attendance selling furniture, clothes, jewelry, you name it. It was so much fun to look at all the treasures. I went there with full intention to buy things for the home: Bedside tables, end tables, vintage/eclectic décor for around the house, etc. Our home is always going to be a work in progress, but since we’re new to having so much space to fill, it’s taking longer than I thought to be satisfied.

I must say, I definitely did come home with some unique: wall art to somewhat represent a backboard for our guest room bed, vintage alcohol bottle for the bar cart, excess of coffee burlap bags for covering various chair around the house (one day), an old sparkly jewelry box and a vintage coach purse (from the 70's!). It was an extremely successful trip!

Bonus: Danielle from American Pickers was at the show! I didn’t get to meet her, but I was stoked knowing that someone who has made a career in searching out hidden treasures thought the Grand Rapids Antique Show was a great place to continue her quest for awesome old crap J

{In a future home this would be a great island!}

{if only I could afford these for the bar cart!}

{would LOVE that purple chair}

{end table inspiration... with darker wood of course...}

{starting to really consider the idea of sconces on in our bedroom as opposed to lamps}

{how cool would it be to completely cover the bathroom ceiling in the non-rusted version of these silver plates!}

{kitchen table center piece inspiration}

{adorable for a little girls room}

{hey look Mom and Dad... you can make money on this print ;)}
