Food Show Season – Spring 2015

This was my first Food Show season back in 3 years. It felt good. I missed this part of work and this side of the business. It’s a busy time and exhausting but fun exhausting. We were wined and dined, entertained and worked to the bone, but it was a great first month back in Marketing and I couldn't be happier J

Here’s a few glimpses into Food Show life in Spring 2015 where the theme was the Gordon Food Service SHOW... intended to promote our big announcement from October 2014.

{the Food at Toasted Oak was some of the best I've ever had... that skillet cookie!}

{just a little glimpse inside some of our proprietary booths...}

{this season we had a "Selfie Station" to show}

{I ran into friends from college that were a part of my major but also in the Evans Scholar house (which is where Max lived all 4 years... small world!}

{the Rosemont Show... the evening started out in the VIP lounge of our hotel before being picked up by a party bus for dinner}

{i mean... the FOOD! This was the night before action in Rosemont at Tuscano's }

{always the night-capper with one bevvie plus coffee!}

{GFS bacon booth... the only thing saving me the morning after...}

{some of my favorite Food Show snacks when hunger strikes... gourmet mac & cheese and Sienna (a GFS label) muffins!}

{Cleveland Pre-Game before the Indians Baseball game was at Tilted Kilt... not exactly of the GFS culture but some of the most fun I've had a vendor/broker dinner}

{we celebrated the retirement of an amazing lady while enjoying Tilted Tea's}

{Cleveland...}

{cheers to Food Show season... until the Fall!!}

Friday Five!

{appropriate convention center graffiti}
________________________________________________

This was my last Food Show week of the season and I am wiped. Another fast paced week... but its all worth it (cause it's fun!), but I gotta tell ya... I’m ready for the weekend! Hard core ready to relax. At home. In Grand Rapids! I plan on using my lack of plans to my advantage and SPRING CLEAN (and maybe even attend a fun essential oils class downtown)! Who knows, maybe I'll get crazy and swing by the Downtown Market for tacos :) Can't wait!

Friday Forte:

{souvenir cup that held my new favorite drink}

{brilliant vintage find for the office}

{perfect mini notebook I stumbled upon for random thoughts & dreams (and let’s be honest, to-do lists!}

{Spring has sprung my friends!}

Radio Revival Tour!

Nick Thomas of The Spill Canvas.

I saw all of this amazing music live this past weekend! It was such an unforgettable night (I can’t believe I almost didn't get tickets)!!! I loved every single second of it. The music was absolutely incredible and the company was even better.

We started off the night grabbing some delish food and bevvies at Stella’s before heading to The Intersection. The concerts were held in the Stache, the front room of the Intersection. Kicking things off was Wind in Sails and he just lit the place up. Such beautiful music! It only got better from there…

I gotta tell you, I was fangirling pretty hard when I first saw Secondhand Serenade. I swear I've been trying to see him live for years. Finally the stars aligned and we met. He basically hugged me. It was amazing. Alright, enough of me being a loser… that’s all I got. It was incredible and I can’t wait for my next concert experience. It’s one of my favorite things about summer!

Cheers to beer garden season!

{his girlfriend sang with him for one song... BEAUTIFUL!}

{we made friends with Runaway Saints!}

{Ryan Cabrera was pretty awesome too!}

A Cousin’s Baby Shower

This past weekend I celebrated with a Momma to be, my cousin Lindsey. The event was held at their new house in Kalamazoo surrounded by friends and family. It was a great day full of love and family (and super heroes)! The future Baby Boy Town is going to have a nursery decked out in all things comic book and super heroes (or maybe some villains?).

I am so happy for Lindsey & Aric. Cheers to their bouncing baby boy!! Aunt Meggie can't wait to meet him in just a few short weeks!

Mom and I decided to stop at Food Dance for a quick "day capper" and continue some fun European conversation!
